Cleaning and Caring for Your Piano
Safe products, safe methods and things never to put on a finish.
Dust the case with a soft dry microfiber cloth and wipe keys with a barely damp cloth, drying immediately. Avoid furniture polish, silicone sprays and alcohol, all of which damage finishes and keytops.
Keep drinks, plants and candles off the lid, close the fallboard when the piano is idle, and leave interior cleaning to a technician. The soundboard and action collect dust that a household vacuum will damage.
